WHAT IS INCLUDED IN A PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION?

Photography sessions include a consultation, either by phone or in person. I love getting to know my clients and finding out exactly what you are looking for. Based on our consultation, I offer guidance on location choices, outfits, etc. for your session. Your photo gallery is provided within one week of your session via a link sent to the email you provide. Editing is included, however, I believe in keeping my photos as real as possible. Therefore, I only do basic edits on the images as needed- blemish/spot removal, color correction, and cropping. You will simply download your high resolution images from your gallery and can print them wherever you choose.

WHAT ARE THE STEPS IN THE PROCESS?

First, please reach out! You can send a message through the contact page and email me directly with any questions or comments you may have. Once we discuss your ideas and confirm your vision is a match for what I can provide, with a 50% retainer, we will set a date and your photography session is booked. We will chat a few days prior to your session and confirm any further details. The remaining balance will be due the day of your session. You will receive a link via email to your photo gallery within one week of your session, unless otherwise noted.

WHAT DO WE DO IN OUR PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION?

In short, be yourselves! I will provide gentle posing prompts for some photos, specifically group or family shots, but for the most part, I try to capture your family “in the wild”. I am very open to any photo ideas you may have, so if there is some family trademark pose that you want to capture or if a kid really wants to be photographed swinging from a tree, let’s do it!

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I RECEIVE FROM MY SESSION?

I do not limit the amount of photos received as each session is unique. As a mom, I understand there are certain expressions or smiles that only a parent can identify. This is why I try to give you as many photos as possible and don’t limit you to a set number. There may be a photo that I prefer, but you may like another because of that little crinkle in your child’s nose or a smirk you see when they are feeling mischievous.

WHERE DO YOU PROVIDE PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES?

I provide services for and am located in the Northland of Kansas City, which is home to Smithville Lake and many beautiful parks that can act as beautiful backdrops for your photo session. The Northland area includes, but is not limited to, Smithville, Kearney, Liberty, Parkville, Platte City, Platte Woods, Trimble, Plattsburg, Gower, and St. Joseph.

WILL YOU TRAVEL TO AREAS OUTSIDE OF THOSE MENTIONED?

Yes! If necessary, an additional fee will be provided, which is dependent upon gas and driving times.
